What is a Security Bank eGiftCard?
|

The Security Bank eGiftCard or eGC is a single-use virtual gift card which will
allow the Purchaser to send money to someone without a bank account or a physical
card. The Recipient performs cash-out from an ATM using a Passcode, eGC number and
amount.

What is a Passcode, eGC number and amount?
|
|
|
The Passcode is a 4-digit number directly sent to the purchaser via SMS. The eGC
number is the 16-digit number directly sent via SMS to the recipient of the eGC
along with the amount. Once the passcode is communicated by the purchaser to the
recipient through a phone call or in a SMS sent by him, this will allow the recipient
to cash out the eGC when combined with the appropriate eGC number and amount.

Where and how do I purchase an eGC?
|
|
|
The eGC is available at all Security Bank Branches nationwide. To purchase, follow
the simple steps below:
|

Fill-out the eGC application form.
|
|
2.
|
Present at least one valid government issued ID with photo.
|
|
3.
|
Pay the intended amount and corresponding card fee.
|
|
4.
|
You will receive an SMS containing the Passcode while your Recipient simultaneously
receives an SMS containing the 16-digit eGC number and amount.
|
|
5.
|
Inform your recipient about the Passcode via phone call or SMS.
|
|
6.
|
Your recipient cashes-out the amount using 3 important information: eGC number,
passcode and amount in any selected SBC ATM that has an eGC logo.
|
|
|
How do I cash out an eGC?
|
|
|
Simply press the ENTER button on the ATM keypad and press EGIFTCARD CASH-OUT . Enter
the 16-digit eGC number, the passcode and the full amount and wait for the ATM to
dispense the cash.

Can anybody purchase an eGC?
|
|
|
Yes, an eGC can be purchased by anyone, with or without a Security Bank account.
|
|
Are all Security Bank ATMs capable of cashing out eGCs ?
|
|
|

What is the minimum and maximum amount of an eGC?
|
|
|
The minimum amount of an eGC is is Five Hundred Pesos (P500) while the maximum is
Ten Thousand Pesos (P 10,000).

How long is the validity of the Security Bank eGiftCard?
|
|
|
Security Bank eGC is valid for seven (7) days. . Upon expiry, an eGC is automatically
cancelled. The purchaser can claim the proceeds net of Cancellation Charge of P100.
|

How will I know if the eGC I purchased was already cashed-out by my recipient?
|
|
|
You will receive an SMS once the amount is successfully cashed-out by your Recipient.
|
|
How many times can I purchase a Security Bank eGiftCard?
|
|
|
There is no limit on the times you can purchase an eGC
|
|
Is there a limit on how much eGCs my recipient will receive?
|
|
|
Yes, there is a limit. Your recipient can receive up to a maximum of One Hundred
Thousand Pesos (P100,000.00) only and this shall be validated by the recipient’s
cellphone number.

Whom can the recipient call in case there is a problem cashing out an eGC?
|
|
|
The recipient should call the purchaser and the purchaser may either call the Security
Bank branch where he/she purchased the eGC or just contact Security Bank Customer
Contact Center at 88-791-88
|

If the purchaser or recipient did not receive or unintentionally deleted the SMS
containing the needed information to cash-out an eGC, what should he do?
|
|
|
The purchaser must visit the Security Bank Branch where he purchased the eGC and
request for a replacement. Replacement will allow resending of a new passcode and
eGC number. The purchaser and the recipient should disregard the original SMS in
lieu of the new SMS .

How many times can an eGC be replaced?
|
|
|
The Security Bank eGiftCard can be replaced for a maximum of 2 times.
|
|
Will the text notifications be received by the purchaser and recipient in real-time?
|
|
|
Yes, upon completion of the purchase.
|
|
Can I perform partial eGC cash-out transaction?
|
|
|
No, partial cash-out is not allowed.
|
|
What happens if the recipient entered an invalid passcode 3x?
|
|
|
If the recipient entered an invalid passcode 3x, the eGC shall be blocked and cannot
be cashed-out anymore.
|
|
What happens if the purchaser or recipient lost his/her cellphone containing the
needed information for the eGC ?
|
|
|
The purchaser must visit the Security Bank branch where he purchased the Security
Bank eGiftCard and request for a cancellation. If the purchaser has an account with
Security Bank the amount can be credited back to his account net of the cancellation
fee of P100. If the purchaser does not have an account with Security Bank, the purchased
amount net of the cancellation fee of P100 will be returned to him via Manager’s
Check.

Is the eGC cheaper compared to other forms of sending money?
|
|
|
Yes, the fee costs Fifty Pesos (P50.00) only while other means of sending money
ranges from P50.00 to P560.00.
|

How long will it take before the Recipient can get the eGC ?
|
|
|
The Recipient can get the money as soon as the Purchaser sends him the passcode
via SMS.
|
|
After applying for an eGC can I still change my recipient?
|
|
|
No, the original transaction cannot be amended to reflect a different recipient.
However, you may apply for cancellation anytime from the branch where the eGC was
applied for.

|
Will the SMS work in any telecom network and different kinds of cell phones?
|
|
|
Yes, it will work in any telecom network and different kinds of cell phones.
|
|
Will there be a charge if my recipient cashes-out the eGC from a Security Bank ATM?
|
|
|
There is no cost to your recipient in cashing out an eGC from a Security Bank ATM.
|
|
Are there any other charges or penalties I should be aware of when I purchase an
eGC?
|
|
|
|

The card fee when purchasing a Security Bank eGiftCard is Fifty pesos (P50.00).

You will be charged P100.00 upon expiration of a Security Bank eGiftCard .

A charge of P100.00 is deducted from the load upon cancellation of a Security Bank
eGiftCard.
